about

All recipes on this blog are intended to be free from the following:

  • gluten
  • lactose
  • dairy products (butter may be used in small amounts)
  • heated oils
  • rice
  • potatoes
  • grains
  • legumes
  • refined sugar
  • additives
  • sweeteners

Now why would you want cut all of this out? Perhaps you have been suffering from acne for a very long time and are following dietary restrictions to get rid of it, which is the very reason this blog exists. When my sister for medical reason started this diet we realized there were not that many recipes and inspiration to follow this diet around, so for her inspiration, I started this blog.

But –

If you are not allergic (or have no dietary restrictions) to the above, don’t let this scare you! – You can eat anything on this blog and you can change or add ingredients as you like, use your imagination or look at the “no allergies/dietary restrictions” page for ideas! Cooking should be easy and just because some things are left out doesn’t mean you can’t add them back in if you wish, it just makes it easier for people with allergies or dietary restriction (and for you when you invite them over for dinner…) to not have to scrutinize every recipe for whatever they are unable to eat.

If you are allergic (or have dietary restrictions), I am not a nutritionist or a medical doctor but I do my best to fulfill the above and hope you can find inspiration here!

Serving sizes- most recipes will say 4 servings, however, luckily we are all different in many ways, how boring wouldn’t the world be otherwise? One way in which we differ is in how much energy we need… Most likely you know yourself the best, if you need more or less of something – add or reduce or just experiment!

Cook, eat, and enjoy!
